Music events & festivals in Richmond this summer
With its glorious riverside location and greenery, picturesque buildings and well-connected transport links to London, it’s no wonder that Richmond and it’s surroundings are prime locations to host various musical events and festivals this summer.
Kew the Music Festival
Music lovers of all generations visiting The Petersham between Tuesday 11 and Sunday 16 July can enjoy the ever-popular Kew The Music Festival at the nearby Kew Gardens. Taking centre-stage includes the world-renowned bands Passenger, Razorlight and James, as well as solo hit-maker Mary J Blige, pop songstresses All Saints and the unique classical-meets-club artists Hacienda Classical. Tickets are available from £40 per person.
As it is a picnic concert, guests are welcome to bring their own food and alcohol to really make an evening of it.
Twickenham Stadium will also be playing host to some A-list stars this summer with British legend Elton John gracing the stage on Saturday 3 June, iconic rock band U2 performing on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July, and pop queens Little Mix taking centre stage Sunday 25 June.
Hampton Court Palace Festival
Iconic National Trust venue Hampton Court Palace is just a 25-minute drive from The Petersham, and guests staying between Wednesday 7th and Saturday 24 June can enjoy the return of the Hampton Court Palace Festival.
Make the most of the glorious British summer with a series of open-air concerts from artists such as Bryan Ferry, Van Morrison, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, James Morrison, Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Rick Astley, Björn Again and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Concerts are booked individually and start from £45 per person.
